AGI CEO Kate Gross named among the UK's next generation of development leaders

Kate Gross has been chosen as one of the Devex 40-under-40 international development leaders in London. Devex, the world’s largest community of aid and development professionals, named Kate along with leaders from Oxfam, Save the Children, and the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, as one of the 40 young leaders with the biggest influence on the development agenda and impact on development results. The London 40 follows last year’s Washington 40 including USAID head Raj Shah.

Kate, who founded the Tony Blair Africa Governance Initiative in 2008 with AGI chair Liz Lloyd, said “I’m humbled to be included in such an impressive group of leaders from the world of development. It is testament to the achievements of the people of Rwanda, Sierra Leone and Liberia who are transforming their countries and who have welcomed me and my organisation to join them on their development journeys. And it is an endorsement of the efforts of AGI’s people, who inspire me every day with their passion and optimism.”
