Quartet Representative to the Middle East, Tony Blair, has told the BBC's Wyre Davies that he is confident a peace deal can be reached between the Israelis and Palestinians.
Tony Blair, who was closely involved in getting the two sides to the opening of talks in Washington earlier this month, had meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas over the weekend. In the interview with the BBC in Jerusalem he said that both sides had a ''fixed determination to get a solution'' and the ''feeling of cynicism had been significantly reduced''.
