Tony Blair today "condemned unreservedly" the attacks in Southern Israel today

Quartet Representative Tony Blair has “condemned unreservedly” today’s series of coordinated terrorist attacks in southern Israel that have killed at least seven people and injured many more.

Media reports say gunmen fired at a bus travelling close to the Israeli-Egyptian border, around noon local time, and that two other vehicles in the same area were subsequently hit by either rocket fire or an explosive device.

In a statement issued today, Quartet Representative Tony Blair said:

"I condemn unreservedly today's brutal attacks in Southern Israel, as I do all such acts of terror. The targeting of innocent civilians can never be justified. I send my condolences to the victims, and their friends and families, and I hope the perpetrators of these appalling incidents will be quickly brought to justice."
