The event will comprise of 24 sports each being held over 4 age groups, U9, U11, U13 and U15, it will be fully inclusive and be held at 3 locations across the city. Benfield School will host the athletics, gymnastics, badminton, fencing, waterpolo, triathlon, softball and boccia; Kenton School will hold the football, tennis, volleyball, handball, archery, trampoline and softball events; and Walbottle Campus will host the rowing, cycling, hockey, table-tennis, basketball, netball and judo. Two non-school locations will also be used, City Pool for the swimming and Dance City will host the dance competition and closing ceremony. It is hoped that 5,000 children from across the city will participate in the Games.

The success of the games will be heavily reliant upon enough volunteers willing to help out on a wide range of tasks and the Tony Blair Sports Foundation is asking you to get involved.

We need around 500 volunteers to sign up – whatever time you can give over the 4 days there will be a job for you to do!

As an added bonus every volunteer that helps out will be entered into our prize draw to win an exclusive trip to the Olympic Village.

This is guaranteed to be a great event and one that we hope you will want to be part of.  To register your interest or volunteer for a specific sport please email us now at info@tonyblairsportsfoundation.org

The games opens on Thursday 23rd June and will end on Sunday 26th June 2011.
